There were several minutes of on and off squawking. The sounds were fainter than what I had heard while there in 2023 and appeared to be coming from a different location under the house. It was still fun to hear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-vimeo wp-block-embed-vimeo wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/player.vimeo.com\/video\/1166642181?dnt=1&amp;app_id=122963\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"autoplay; fullscreen; picture-in-picture; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Turn up the volume to hear the little blue penguins<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the morning we woke up to cloudy skies, cold, wind, and rain. The bad weather continued all day long. We didn't have much planned for the day, so we spent it enjoying the wild and windy views of the ocean and waves from the house. The weather was still wet, cold, and windy. A few other hardy souls joined us on the viewing platform. We were there for about an hour but were unsuccessful in our attempts to see the penguin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The penguin viewing area overlooked a petrified forest.
